This project was an enhancement of an existing landscape where the bones of hardscape and larger foundational plantings were mostly there. The homeowner wanted to get even more edibles into their landscape, and fill in the harvest at the times of year where their harvest seemed light. The veggie garden and most of the fruit trees are in the front yard folks, these people are committed! My favorite part about this project was hearing from the homeowner and many a passerby how the front yard garden has created community in their neighborhood and inspired other yards in the neighborhood to have more edibles. This customer invested approximately $60,000 to revitalize their landscape, make it more functional, and reflect their desires to grow food while having a beautiful finished landscape.
